Hmmm. Both would work with a good diet. I’d go for visual impact first and then if you want another program down the road get the adonis index.

  1. Hey Greg,

First of all, i love the site – nice change of scenery from the typical booby-builder sites ;)
I’d love your input on what program to get, as i’m about to get either the Adonis Index or VIMB. Oh, and if there is any way i can help you by referencing you when i buy either of them, let me know!

I’m 185 lbs, 5’11″, 21 years old. I’m not sure about my fat percentage – i’d probably have to get that measured at the gym when i start there, but i reckon its likely 15~18% ( I can see my abs when flexing, but a bit of fat under my bellybutton, along with a bit of sagging in the lower chest area )
My goal is to have the same sort of body that you have! To reach my ideal look, i’d have to get a larger chest(and get rid of the DAMN sagging!), tricep and shoulders, and become overall more ripped – especially in the abs department. My back, lats etc. are where i want them to be already.
I’ve previously done lots of crossfit, and limited traditional weightlifting/bodybuilding, and lots of bodyweight excersises trying to build up to some feats of strenght like the planche pushup and 1-arm pullup – but havent trained much the past few months. I dont like the whole BULK then CUT approach, so if that factors in, yeah… What would you recommend? :)

    • Well you can’t go wrong with either program!

Visual Impact is great if you want to have the flexibility to take the concepts and create your own individual workout routine. Adonis Index is great if you want to have a set workout program to follow exactly. So it depends on the person.

      • Thanks for the quick response. I THINK i’ll get the VIMB, as the aforementioned flexibility in workout choices will make it easier to incorporate in my training to achieve advanced bodyweight excercises (Planche pushup, handstand pushup, front+back lever, Flag, 1arm pullup etc..). The concepts learned in it might also come in handy. Would you agree?
Also, you make it sound like there is no outlined program in the VIMB… Isn’t there?! And if there is – would you think the one from Adonis or VIMB would be better, assuming one was strictly following the outlined program (in terms of muscle/strenght/ripped!)

Dont worry, those should be my last question on the subject, hah! Thanks again!

        • There is an outlined workout routine in Visual Impact. There are 3 weekly workout programs for each respective phase. Rust does encourage you to take the ball and run with it though. You can incorporate bodyweight movements into visual impact. Both programs work well and I’ve made gains on both routines. I did find I made better strength gains with visual impact.

          • Thanks again buddy, that settles it – Starting out with the VIMB for 6-8months, and then i can always try and see what Adonis has to offer me!

As i asked in my first post, is there any way to refer to you when i buy it or something?

          • I am an affiliate for both workout programs. When you buy the program through my link I get commission. Someone’s gotta pay for my lap dances ;)

  2. Hey Greg still want to know when I can increase the weight in phase 3 because it says first 3 sets like prime the muscles so am I never increasing those weights? And only increase last 2 sets? Or hit all 4 reps in each set then increase the weight?
